At Skyland Malamutes,
We take a lot of pride in the environment we provide
for our dogs.
You can see the love and care we put into our Condos.
We adore our dogs and love to spoil them.
Our Alaskan Malamute Compound
From these views, you can see some of the
Nursery Condos we have.  We now have 9 total
plus our doghouse.  We are not a Puppy Mill. We do
not sell to pet shops or brokers.  We sell with
limited registration.  Our nurseries have a
skylight, lights, fans, heaters, and a deck for the
new puppies.
Our new addition
Each of our new mommies will have their own private
nursery condo to relax and take care of her babies. Each
Nursery has its own yard for mom to teach the puppies to
go outside and potty....
Swimming hole

During the hot part of the day, the dogs love to swim
and then take their naps in their cool doghouse.
We call it "Last frontier" and "Land of the midnight sun" but, to those who know and love dogs, Alaska is much
more than a vast frozen wilderness. It is home to the magnificent Alaskan Malamute. Hailing from the Kotzebue
Sound on Alaska's northwest coast, the Malamute takes its name from the native Eskimos, who reside there
known as the Mahlemuts. Living in a land of very Beyond taking the name of their human family, Alaska's
Malamutes became veritable mirrors of the people with whom they share their lives. The dogs and humans
evolved together, through the centuries taking on similar characteristics that enhanced their interdependence.

My love affair with the Malamutes began 15 years ago when I saw my first Malamute.  I had gone
to see a half wolf, half malamute puppy.  The sire was a huge, gorgeous gray/white woolly male and
I lost my heart to that beautiful creature.  I didn't adopt a puppy but I knew someday I would
own one of those magnificent creatures.  When Rick and I met 7 years ago, he asked me what kind
of puppy I would like to have and I immediately jumped on the chance to own a Malamute.   We
began to search for one and, as they are not a commonly found dog, found one 3 months later, our
ASHLEY.   Our love affair with the Alaskan Malamute began.........and it will never end.  We don't
consider our dogs "property" or "stock."  We consider our dogs "family."
We have added 3 new yards and one duplex condo and one
single condo.  In the spring, we will add 4 more yards with 2
duplexes.  We want our dogs to each have their own
home........
