NORMAN
MAD COW DISEASE???
We bought Norman the first year we moved out here, 8 years ago, when he was a week old.  We bought him
and his mom with the intent of fattening up Norman and selling him and his mom and buying some more
baby cows to help us keep the pasture ate down.  But we fell in love with Norman and kept him.  He's now
our 3000# pet.  Everyone is amazed at how big he is.  He thinks he's a dog.  He head butts the dogs (Bronco
is his favorite) and takes off running and the dogs chase him.  He loves to play with them. He also loves my
5 year old granddaughter, Teagan.  She walks up to him and he puts his head down for her to pet him.  One
day when it was cold out, I walked to the barn to feed and he came up behind me and butted me and
almost knocked me down.  I told him if he did that again, we would be having some T-bones for dinner that
night. I really scared him so he hasn't done it since!  Norman is very popular around our neighborhood.  All
of our neighbors love him and come and visit him when riding their horses....we love our Norman.
I noticed the heifers across the
road running towards our house
one day and it seems that our
canine "stud muffins" aren't the
only ones attracting attention.
Norman was standing close to the
fence and the heifers  were doing
some serious flirting....
